Mothers Connected by Tragedy, Bonded by Activism
"Mothers of the Movement" talk in Chicago about their children: Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner.
Chicago — They say with tragedy there's triumph, but the bloodshed of children connected these mothers for a lifetime.
Gwen Carr, Sybrina Fulton and Tamika Palmer continued their children’s legacy with “Mothers of The Movement” when they recently visited Chicago to discuss police brutality and how to overcome the overwhelming loss of a child.

The women banded together after their children — Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Breonna Taylor — were killed by police officers or by gun violence.
