CHANCE THE RAPPER’S "ACID RAP" CHARTS AT NO.5 

Chance The Rapper’s breakout mixtape "Acid Rap" was recently re-released and put on all streaming platforms which landed him at the No. 5 spot on Billboard’s Hot 200 Chart. Even though we are happy to have Chance’s old projects on streaming sites, fans are still hoping for the long-awaited follow-up to "Coloring Book."  

UNITED MASTERS CREATES NEW APP FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS 

United Masters has recently launched a new iOS music distribution app catered to independent artists. The app allows users to submit their music to all streaming platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and more. You can do this all from your phone, including uploading cover art and music files directly.  

A$AP ROCKY DETAINED IN SWEDEN FOR 2 WEEKS 

A$AP Rocky is currently being detained in Sweden for suspicion of assault. While exploring the streets of Sweden, Rocky and his entourage were approached by two men who accused Rocky of breaking a pair of headphones. Video footage was released and you can clearly see that A$AP Rocky did not want any issues with the hecklers and you can also see the man break his headphones by smashing them on the security’s head. Due to the arrest, Rocky had to cancel his Wireless Festival appearance. #FreeRocky

JAY-Z SUES BRAND GROUP FOR FRAUD

Jay-Z sued a New York City company,  Iconix Brand Group Inc. for fraud. He claims the firm cheated his company, Roc Nation, by lying and inflating their finances when making a deal with Roc Nation to make it seem like they were more successful than they actually were. Stop playing with Hov’s money!

POSSIBLE “MAKING THE BAND” REMAKE IN THE WORKS WITH DIDDY

It is possible that Diddy might bring back the iconic reality TV show “Making The Band?” Diddy recently took to IG to share he was thinking about bringing the show back to television. MTV has reached out to Diddy but there has been no further news about it.
