Aitch Returns to Manchester for his debut album ‘Close To Home’
The UK rapper marks his territory in the U.S.
UK native Aitch celebrates his hometown with his debut album, “Close to Home.”
He revealed on social media that the album is a tribute to his hometown of Manchester.
The rapper celebrated the album with a video for “My G” featuring Ed Sheeran. Aitch dedicated the song to his younger sister, who inspired the record.
Before announcing the project, he released his first single, “Baby,” with legendary R&B singer Ashanti for a fun summer track. The track samples Ashanti’s hit song “Rock Wit U.”
Following the success of “Baby,” Aitch announced the release of his debut album, “Close to Home,” in mid-May. Alongside the announcement, he shared that the album has been in the works for more than four years.
His second single, “1989,” showcases his rapping ability over a playful instrumental sampling “Fools Gold” by The Stone Roses, a famous rock band from Manchester.
Along with the album, Aitch announced a European tour which is scheduled to begin Oct. 3 in Ireland and end Feb. 11 in Finland.
