After a mess of rights issues, studio politics, and the mouse allowing an R rating, Deadpool has returned to the silver screen. This time though, he is not alone as he brought in Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

Can these two find harmony in their discord and save their respective universes from destruction? Find out in Marvel Studios: “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

Now the answer many are asking is… is it good or does Disney have another massive flop on their hands? The answer: this film is uncanny and amazing in the best way possible.

This movie is what “Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness” wanted to be — an amazing, bloody, and hilarious romp through a land forgotten by time, and cameos galore that I will not spoil here. Just like the previous Deadpool movies, the jokes are rapid-fire, and meta, and while some may fall flat, many can cause the theater to explode in an uproar of hilarity with fun needle drops that add to the grandness of the adventure. This is Marvel at its finest and one of the biggest crowd-pleasing films of this summer if not the whole year.

Ryan Renolds kills it again as the titular character of Deadpool, grappling with a midlife crisis and trying to find his place in the world until he gets a knock at the door from the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the shadowy interuniversal organization first introduced in the “Loki” TV show. Hugh Jackman also shines as a failed Wolverine, in the vein of a foul-mouthed alcoholic ready to kill.

The R rating here is a hard one as blood, gore, and bad words fill the theater, keep the kids at home for this one, but know that you are going in for a great time. This film is the shot in the arm that the MCU needed.

4.5 bullets out of 5.
