The Grammy-nominated and four-time Juno-winning singer and songwriter Jessie Reyez released her second album, “Yessie,” following her 2020 debut album, “Before Love Came To Kill Us.”
In anticipation of “Yessie,” Reyez released her first single, “FRAUD,” in late June. Reyez sings of unrequited love and how her ex-lover was a fraud.
She then followed up with “Mutual Friend.” The Toronto native shared an accompanying music video directed by Peter Huang. In the video, Reyez dances and celebrates as flowers bloom around her, symbolizing growth from a toxic relationship. She appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in August, where she performed “Mutual Friend.”
Weeks before the album’s release, Reyez took to her Instagram to share the cover art.
She also shared tour dates for her new album. The 41-date tour starts in Miami, Florida in mid-October and ends in London early next year.
