ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” will see its first sam-sex couple compete this season featuring singer and dancer JoJo Siwa.

The 18-year-old, who recently came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, will be paired with a female dancer for the show’s 30th season, according to Yahoo Entertainment. Derek Hough, a judge on the reality competition series, said “he’s excited to see it.”

“For me, it’s not really a big surprise,” Hough told Deadline at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards after winning a golden statuette for Best Choreography for a Variety or Reality Programming for Dancing with the Stars. “After living in the UK for 10 years, all-girl competitions are very, very common.”

Other celebrities who will compete include 21-year-old social media star Olivia Jade and 18-year-old Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics Suni Lee.

The show, hosted by Tyra Banks, returns Monday at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
