The ladies of the music industry ruled over MTV’s Video Music Awards, aka the VMAs. Nicki Minaj hosted the event, gave crowd pleasing performances and even showed off her vocal chops on “Last Time I Saw You” and shared new material from her upcoming album “Pink Friday 2”. Minaj even took home the Best Hip Hop Award for “Super Freaky Girl.”
Days after debuting their latest collab, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed their new song “Bongos” live for the first time. Doja Cat was also in the house to give fans a taste of her new album “Scarlet”. She performed “Attention,” “Paint the Town Red,” and “Demons.”
Before the end of the night, the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop was celebrated with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Minaj, Wayne, LL Cool J and DMC.
