Oakland’s Offset Jim released a video for his standout single, “Chinese K,” featuring Aitch.

High among the ranks of the Bay Area rap scene, Offset Jim released his second solo project, “Rich Off The Pack,” in October. The video finds Manchester star Aitch cruising around New York, rapping over the DTB produced beat.

“Rich Off The Pack” is more than just “Chinese K.” Offset Jim recruited producer Kenny Beats for “Face Card,” while enlisting Detroit native Babyface Ray for “Make No Sense,” as well as EST Gee for “Off White Mikes.”

Offset Jim never fails to deliver his distinct Bay Area style throughout the nine-track project.

He also collaborates with fellow Oakland native ALLBLACK on “Steppin On N****s.” The pair became friends in elementary school, and ALLBLACK encouraged Jim to go to the studio during a rough patch after high school. The two are frequent collaborators, previously releasing their joint album “22nd Ways” in 2019. The two expertly contrast each other’s styles around grimy bass-heavy beats in classic East Bay rap fashion.

Offset Jim’s laid-back yet assertive inflections have put him on the map, catching the attention of many from Drake’s popular radio show “OVO Sounds” to the U.K.’s Aitch. Aitch first broke through when his single “Straight Rhymes” racked up over 24 million views and brought him to the attention of U.K. rap star Stormzy. Since then, he has had five UK top ten singles. The two connected after Aitch posted an Instagram story of himself word-for-word rapping Offset Jim’s “No Pressure,” and naming Jim as a G.O.A.T.
