Protest Playlist: Run with Maud

On February 23rd an unarmed young black man by the name of Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed for jogging in a Georgia neighborhood. Today, May 8th, we celebrate what would have been Ahmaud’s 26th birthday if he had been given the simple human right to exist as a black man in this country. In memory of Arbery’s life, the movement #irunwithmaud has surfaced on social media. All around the nation people are running in his honor and to bring awareness to the fact that tragedies like this continuously plague our country in unfathomable numbers.
