Actress, former reality TV star and daughter of renowned rapper Lil Wayne, Reginae Carter, has not given up on finding love. She recently partnered with BLK, the largest and #1 online site for Black singles, to chronicle her dating journey.

The dating app was created to help Black women and men find meaningful connections that have the opportunity and potential to blossom into something more.

For years, the influencer has been an open book with her fans and supporters regarding her personal life and career, especially her relationships. Taking the next step to share her journey publicly with BLK was a no-brainer.

“I’ve always been open and transparent with my followers, especially since I started YouTube. And I feel like everybody’s always in my dating life anyways,” said Carter. “Why not go on an app where it’s my people? I can relate to them and I can also put the word out where somebody else can find love.”

She has started documenting her journey where she shared she is still optimistic regardless of past experiences.

“I’m looking for just fun. I’m 25 years old, I want to have fun, I want to travel. I’m not trying to be sitting laying there having kids right now. I’m trying to turn up and love, and get to know each other. Also, probably make money together. I want to be on some boss stuff.”

She shared a few non-negotiables — someone who does not have a relationship with God and who is still immature. Although she is young, she knows what she is looking for and even has advice for men who are trying to pursue a woman in this day and age.

“Be cool. Compliment her, but not compliment her too much, don’t OD it. Don’t gaslight the situation. Also, be honest. One thing I feel like I love about a man is that if he’s just honest,” she said.

Carter also said that guys need to bring courting back. “I don’t understand what’s going on in 2024 because the guys just don’t think that they have to court anymore,” she said. But, it is not all about the flashy things, a small gesture can go a long way such as flowers or even checking to see if she is hungry.

Carter wanted to be an advocate for finding love in this generation, which is why she took the BLK route while also sharing it publicly. She expressed that she is always online and on social media and our generation already dates online rather than through DMs or apps, so she wanted to give it a shot.

“I heard about BLK, and I felt like it’s my people, and I could also be myself. And there are some cute people on there. So I was like, oh yeah, let me figure it out,” she said.

With the public eye on her and her love life, she wants people to know that she is figuring it out as she goes just like everyone else.

“I want people to know that I am still learning how to love, and I’m also learning how to love in front of the world. So I want people to know that I am taking my time. I’m learning as I go, and just give me grace,” said Carter.

Supporters can look forward to following her love journey, but she also has been busy with other ventures. She recently wrapped up a movie, “Nothing Even Matters,” that will be released near the end of the year. She is currently filming season two of “Toya and Reginae,” a reality show following the lives of the mother-daughter duo.

A video has also been released for Truth, a Mike Hart song she is featured on.
