
Chicago — Sunday night was a celebration of Black music and BET laid out the red carpet for the 2021 Soul Train Awards show in New York.
Hosted by Pam and Gina from “Martin,” Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell, entertained the crowd throughout the jam-packed night. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak of the Silk Sonic duo took home three awards — Song of the Year, Video of the Year and The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award — for “Leave the Door Open.”
Jazmine Sullivan got Album of the Year for “Heaux Tales” and Best R&B/Soul Female Artist.
Special honors went to Ashanti and Maxwell with the Lady of Soul Award and Living Legend Award, respectively.
