The rapper and Revolt TV talk-show host recently announced that she is making her acting debut in an upcoming Netflix film “You People”, co-written by “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris and actor Jonah Hill.

In an Instagram post, Miami thanked Barris, who doubles as the film’s co-writer and director for the opportunity along with thanking her co-star London for seemingly introducing the role to her.

The acting debut follows a successful year for Miami. Outside of launching her Revolt TV talk-show Caresha Please, The City Girls rap duo also secured a BET Hip-Hop Award for "Best Collaboration" for their latest track "Good Love” that featured R&B singer Usher.

You People, which is set to release in January, takes a comedic approach to touch on subjects like interracial marriage, cultural clashes and generational differences.
