ChicagoA Dollar Tree Manager is no longer with a company after posting a sign at a Bremen, Indiana store that said it wouldn’t hire Gen Z workers.

"My 2 new cashiers quit because I said their boyfriends couldn't stand here for their entire shift," the handwritten note said, according to CBS News. "Don't hire Gen Z's. They don't know what work actually means. NOW HIRING. Baby boomers ONLY. Thanks."

After the manager was fired, Vice President of Investor Relations at Dollar Tree Randy Guiler told CBS “of course, we do NOT have a policy against hiring Gen Z workers.”

The occurrence occurs at a time when firms all around the country are in desperate need of workers. There are almost two job openings for every unemployed American.
