Since August, California’s raging wildfires have brought nothing but turmoil to the state. On Sep 11, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed the bill #AB2147, sponsored by Democratic Assemblywoman Eloise Reyes. The bill allows California prison firefighters to have their records expunged and creates a path for them to become firefighters once they are released.
