We get it. This election season (which STILL isn’t over) has taken a toll. In the spring, Harvard’s Institute of Politics (IOP) found 48% of young adults (18-29 years old) surveyed said they had felt anxiety in the previous day.
According to an article published by Harvard Kennedy School announcing the study, “those who felt the country was on the wrong track were more likely to be anxious regardless of their political affiliation.” John Della Volpe, director of polling for the IOP elaborated, “For the first time, we now have evidence that the state of our politics is contributing to the mental health challenges millions of young Americans already face.” That anxiety certainly doesn’t go away the day after the election (or many days after).
