The Lewis College of Business closed in 2015 and was re-opened by Dr. D’Wayne Edwards as the Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. His vision is to open up career and education pathways in design for African Americans, and as the only HBCU in Michigan, hopes that the presence of the school leads to new industry opportunities for the communities surrounding it.
