A North Carolina high school is on lockdown after a student was injured Wednesday during the shooting. No one else was injured.
The student is being treated for a gunshot wound after someone opened fire at Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, according to Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough.
This isn’t the first school shooting in the state this year, but is the first since school has resumed in-person instruction amid the pandemic.
Two days ago there was a shooting at New Hanover High School in Wilmington. One student was shot and a 15-year-old was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
