Chicago — LSU basketball star Angel Reese has become a household name for her prowess on the court, leading the Tigers to a national championship, after all. But it’s her character off of the court, and the way she doesn’t forget where she came from that’s getting the spotlight now.
Reese recently donated $12,000 to her high school alma mater, St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. The donation covers tuition expenses for a member of the girls basketball team. The reason why she donated was because Reese actually benefited from a similar grant for her four years at the Catholic school, making this donation her form of “paying it forward.”
