WNBA: Time for Tip Off!
Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, among others, have fans excited for the season’s second half.
The second half of the WNBA season returns after a six-week break. Following Team USA’s 8th consecutive win at Gold during the 2024 Olympics, the ladies are returning with their teams.
Fans are excited to see more action between the top rookies — Angel Reese, who is leaning towards rookie of the year, Kamilla Cardosa who is a two-time NCAA champion, and Caitlin Clark, the number one draft pick. These women have helped the WNBA increase in popularity.
Before the start of this season, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert announced a plan to have 16 teams within the next few years. With only 12 active teams, an expansion has been approved to add two additional teams, The Golden State Valkyries, a sister team to the Golden State Warriors, and an unnamed Toronto team.
