Located on 1oth St. in Berkeley, T-Rex Restaurant & Bar is relatively new.

T-Rex serves three meals a day from brunch to dinner. They have a basic American brunch menu and a wide variety of traditional and modern barbecue. Their lunch and dinner menu entrees include spare ribs served with Kansas City bbq sauce, a sliced pork shoulder, and classic southern fried chicken.

I feel the ribs were cooked near perfection with a small kick of mild Kansas City barbecue sauce. The sauce definitely adds a good sweetness to the tender ribs.  Entrees are served like a classic barbecue plate with basic sides such as potato or coleslaw salad. The restaurant is in a wide-open 2-story space with a sports bar and several TV’s throughout the restaurant. So sit back and enjoy watching the game while drinking cocktails or dinning. The place has nothing particularly fancy about it but it is a good sit down venue. The acoustics in the wide-open space aren’t great it is nice and spread out.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is in love with pretty much any style of barbecue whether it’s Memphis or Kansas City barbecue.  T-Rex is a family friendly restaurant where you can take your time and there is no big rush.
