Recently the movie “The Fault in Our Stars” came out and everyone has been saying that the movie made them cry so I went and watched it with my friends to see if the movie lived up to it’s expectations. The movie was based on the book written by John Green with stars Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace, the main character and Ansel Elgort as Gus Water based the movie on the book. These two Divergent stars went from being siblings in Divergent to lovers in the Fault in Our Stars. I thought that was a little awkward because I actually saw Divergent before so I kept thinking of them in those roles. The movie was sad at the end but not sad enough to make me cry. I don’t mean to be heartless but it didn’t. I’m not saying that people exaggerate way too much about the movie being sad because my friend did cry when we were watching it in the movie theater. Overall the movie was amazing. It sends a positive message to the audience and it was pretty unique in the way they did it. You don’t see a movie about teens struggling with cancer often because now a days all that matters is drama and more drama. Not much people really think about kids who have cancer. And more often they don’t think about how lucky they are to not be diagnosed with cancer at an early age. This movie gets people to remember those who have or had cancer before so those who died from it wont is forgotten. I would recommend this movie to anyone that wants to watch something that is heart touching but yet very funny.
