Chlöe Bailey, half of sister act Chlöe x Halle, will release her debut solo single “Have Mercy” on Friday.
Recently dropping the single’s cover art on Instagram, Chlöe is pushing forward with her solo era. But this isn’t her first time singing alone. In June, she stunned audiences with her rendition of “Feeling Good,” Nina Simone’s 1965 classic that earned her accolades from Simone’s family.
While the teaser is out, the real promo started in July when she posted a snippet on TikTok that blew up. The track comes as the first taste of her upcoming solo album, marking a temporary departure from her younger sister Halle.
The single comes as Halle wraps up production on “The Little Mermaid.” It’s clear that these powerhouse sisters are making collective and single moves to the top.
Chlöe will premiere “Have Mercy” Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards. Pre-save “Have Mercy” before the release.
