Former First Daughter Has Writing Credit for ‘Swarm’

“Swarm” presents a satirical and unnerving take on the hivemind of those who partake in ‘’stan culture.” And guess who’s behind episode five, “Girl, Bye,” of the series: Malia Ann. 

Or should we say Malia Ann Obama. Yep, the older daughter of the 44th President of the United States. This is her first writing credit for a television show.    

Donald Glover, the series co-creator, told Vanity Fair last year, “I feel like she’s just somebody who’s gonna have really good things coming soon … her writing style is great.” 

Malia previously interned on HBO’s “Girls” and for The Weinstein Company before she graduated Harvard University in 2021.

“Swarm” is now streaming on Prime Video.
