Chicago — Four Black women are recreating what it means to truly have a “hot girl summer” and keep the cash flow rolling in. Those women are Keke Palmer, H.E.R. (Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson), Quinta Brunson and Issa Rae.
With the debut of Jordan Peele’s newest film NOPE, Keke Palmer has become the face of the #1 hit movie in America. Another major milestone for women of color in the entertainment industry is singer H.E.R landing the role of “Belle” in ABC’s Beauty and the Beast 30th anniversary special. Quinta Brunson has officially secured the role of “Oprah” in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Rachel Wood, and more. The fourth hot girl on the list is Issa Rae. The “Insecure” creator has a new show on her hands called “Rap Sh!t.”
