Chicago — After the smash hit success of the "Barbie" movie (one of my personal favorite films from 2023 so far) Mattel, the parent company of Barbie, says that they want to construct their own cinematic universe of films related to their infamous toy lines.
According to Forbes, 45 films are in the works but only 14 have been announced in this “Mattel Cinematic Universe”.

The movie with the most legs right now is the Hot Wheels movie, which has had more news released regarding its production. Warner Bros. and Mattel have gone on record saying the Hot Wheels movie will be live action and produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot.
