Demi Lovato Identifies as Non-Binary

Singer Demi Lovato announced on Wednesday they identify as nonbinary.

They made the announcement on social media and posted a video to followers that after a long period of self-reflection and healing, they have officially chosen to use the pronouns they/them.

“I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and still am discovering,” Lovato said in an Instagram post.

Lovato said sharing the news opens another level of vulnerability for them. They has been open about their struggles with an eating disorder and drug abuse.

“Please keep living in your truths and know I am sending so much love your way,” they said.
