ChicagoRecent studies provide insight into what a modern infection might look like right now as COVID-19 spreads across the United States and continues to evolve.

According to Deseret News, researchers in Norway conducted a study that interviewed 111 guests from a party on Nov. 26, 2021, which had an omicron variant outbreak. There were eight key symptoms among the partygoers.

  • Cough.
  • Runny nose.
  • Fatigue.
  • Sore throat.
  • Headache.
  • Muscle pain.
  • Fever.
  • Sneezing.

The most common symptoms in vaccinated persons were cough, runny nose and exhaustion, while the least common symptoms were sneezing and fever.

A novel omicron variant of COVID-19 accounts for one-fifth of all cases.
