Spring is rolling around and new music is coming with it. Both new and old, familiar and unfamiliar, artists are beginning to share news of their upcoming albums. It’s hard to keep up with all of the latest drops, so here are some of our favorite new releases to get you started. 

Mura Masa - “bbycakes” (with Lil Uzi Vert, PinkPantheress & Shygirl)

Mura Masa enlists Lil Uzi, Shygirl and PinkPantheress for his latest single “bbycakes.” The track is bouncy in nature, filled with cute-sounding synths. Shygirl brings it all together with an infectious chorus with assistance from Lil Uzi Vert. The Philly rapper also lends a melodic verse while PinkPantheress shows out with a crisp verse and her unmistakable light delivery. 

Mahalia - “Letter To Ur Ex”

Mahalia effortlessly sings “Letter To Ur Ex” about escaping a drama-filled relationship. The track starts with a gentle strum from an electric guitar, about halfway through the song, the song switches up with a more dramatic string section and small kicks.

Tinashe - “Naturally”

Tinashe displays her versatility on “Naturally.” The indie singer shares lush vocals throughout the track, including an infectious hook that will have you humming the chorus after three minutes.

Shenseea - “R U That” (feat. 21 Savage)

Jamaican singer Shenseea’s unwavering flow sets the tone for her first all-English rap song “R U That.” She fires questions at a potential partner, and 21 Savage breaks out his singing voice to respond on the upbeat track. 

Baby Tate - “What’s Love”

Rapper Baby Tate shows off her vocals over a chill R&B beat on "What's Love." If Baby Tate's earnest lyrics and vibrant vocal runs are any indications of her range as an artist, then she's just getting started. 

Curren$y and The Alchemist - “Louis Baggage” (feat. Babyface Ray)

The Alchemist created a jazzy and crisp environment with smooth guitar riffs and gentle cymbals on “Louis Baggage.” Curren$y starts the track with a sensitive storyline. The rapper's determined tone cuts through the jazzy production with ease. Babyface Ray follows up with a powerful verse about humble beginnings before the track fades out. 

Beach House - “Hurts to Love”

Retro synths set the mood for this nostalgic track from Beach House. Even with short and simple lyrics, each line is thoughtful, evoking feelings of happier times. Beach House’s spacey, airy vocals assist in making “Hurts to Love” so poignant. 

Silk Sonic - “Love’s Train”

If you aren't familiar with Silk Sonic by now, you might want to come up from the rock you're hiding under. Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars make an electrifying duo, the two decide to cover Con Funk Shun's 1982 song Love's Train. It doesn't disappoint.

Rex Orange County's latest single “AMAZING” is a heartwarming love song that has all the ingredients for a summery and nostalgic track. 

Lucky Daye - “NWA” (feat. Lil Durk)

Lucky Daye enlists Lil Durk for his latest single 'NWA." The fun and bouncy record reminds listeners of Drake's viral song "Hotline Bling." Lil Durk gives a short but stellar verse while Lucky Daye chooses to mesmerize listeners with lyrics about being a big shot.
