Chicago“Fantasy Football” star and “Black-ish” alum Marsai Martin revealed during a recent Instagram live that the “constant pain” she’s been dealing with for more than four years from a large ovarian cyst led her to have it removed, according to People.

"The only reason I am sharing this is so I can hopefully spread awareness and share my experience to the young women out there that may be going through the same thing or have difficult menstrual cycles," Martin said during the IG live. "You are never alone. Listen to your body. It always shows you signs. Health is wealth."

According to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts are not uncommon and most “present little to no discomfort and are harmless.” However, large or burst cysts “can cause serious symptoms,” including pelvic pain, fullness or heaviness in the abdomen and bloating.”
