R&B singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz has a new track for you.
Faiyaz had a relatively quiet year outside of releasing several exciting singles and features. He started the year off strong with a DJ Dahi-produced single titled “Gravity” featuring Tyler, The Creator. He then followed up with a summer smash with the Drake-assisted single “Wasting Time,” produced by the famed production duo, The Neptunes.
The singer also happened to grace Tems’ latest EP, “If Orange Was A Place,” and Baby Keem’s “The Melodic Blue.”

Faiyaz had spontaneously dropped EP back in 2020, “F*ck the World,” in 2020. The EP hit U.S. Billboard’s 200 Charts, peaking at the 20th spot.
Faiyaz has previously played with different sounds, genres, and styles in his music, further setting him apart from other R&B artists. In a recent Rolling Stones interview, he said, “I don’t really feel the loyalty to any particular genre. To be completely honest, I’m an R&B singer because I’m black and I sing.”
He doesn’t feel restricted in his music, which allows room for differing songs and a more dynamic experience from song to song.
Brent Faiyaz’s “MERCEDES,” is out now.
